I can source these in aqua green shrink wrap. 5A max discharge. Unknown capacity. Relatively expensive at nearly $20.00 per loose cell. 2xICR17670A appears good to go for the MN21 in a standard M4 body. Anyone have any additional information regarding these LiCoO2, Made in Canada cells?

Yeah, these are nothing new or special. Molicel started out making Lithium Cobalt cells which have the explosive risk. AW's version with the PCB is the best way to use this size cell, and the quality is reliable, while price lower...even with the PCB added. His PCB limits amp output to 5A, and has overdischarge/overcharge protection.

The newer "emoli" lithium manganese cathode is the safe chemistry that can tolerate a lot more amp draw....but as far as I know they are only made in 26700 & 18650 cylindrical sizes. The IMR vs. ICR is the "manganese" vs. "cobalt" cathode chemistry part designation for them.
