Alright, I will try to ask them all in one thread.
  1. Are there drop in stipled or orange peel reflectors available for Peak Lights (Baltic, Atlantic, Carribean, Ranier)?
  2. Can the Carribean safely accept 3.7v batteries?
  3. Where can I buy clicky tailcaps for these?
  4. Is the waterproofness compromised if the keychain plug is taken out?
I think that is all for now. I have sunk alot of cash into Peaks in the last week and now I am becoming very interested.

Thanks!

You can buy a brass or stainless steel momentary tail switch directly from Peak LED Solutions for $10 by calling Peak on the phone. I don't know if that is the switch you mean.

I just received a switch and a P4 Caribbean, but I haven't been able to try the switch yet.

2. I know the Luxeon Caribbean could accept a li-ion. I haven't read anything about the new version, but i don't see why it wouldn't as well.

4. Not based on the quick test i just did, though it *was* a quick test, so no guarantees.

The 2AA bodies built to fit all the 1xCR123-bodied lights allow the use of a Kroll clickie.

I use Li-Ion in my Caribbean for short periods (less than 15 minutes). Peak advises that the Li-Ion batteries should only be used for extended runtimes in the larger-head lights like the Rainier. It is safer in them due to the better heatsinking of the large head.

I think that the momentary switch sounds like a nice option and the stainless will probably match the titanium pretty well. I will see in a few days because I have a SS Baltic w/P4 on its way.

How do you like the P4 Caribbean?

I will be steering clear of them in my lights except for the Ranier.

I asked Peak if a 3.7v RCR was OK in a 7-led [5mm leds] McKinley which has a small head and they said it was ok, although it does get warmer and I don't run it for long runtimes. It doesn't improve output that much.

The "switch" from Peak is only a momentary.

I was told that the light will still be waterproof with the key lug removed, although it stands to reason that it would be less waterproof without the extra barrier and O-ring.

Goatee, did you see my stainless steel Caribbean at SHOT? That's a great little light. Very powerful. I still prefer the Caribbean over the 3W Rainier.

I received the hard anodized P4 Caribbean yesterday. I was waiting to comment until I get the proper key chain body. There was a problem with Peak sending me the wrong body, but Robin said a replacement body is on the way.

So far, I am delighted with the quantity and quality of the light it emits. I am awaiting delivery of a Luxeon Caribbean and will compare the two different vintage lights in a few days.

My initial reaction is that the P4 Caribbean has oodles of spill and decent throw -- just the pattern I wanted for a daily carry light. It throws as far an HDS EDC 42XRGT, despite the Peak's smaller diameter reflector. Too, the P4 Caribbean distributes considerably more light into its spill than my EDC 42XRGT. Neither throws light as far as a stock Nite-Ops Gladius (3 watt Luxeon).

Another data point -- The Peak throws as far as, and perhaps farther than my Inova T1.

I can feel the P4 Caribbean's head becoming warm after using it for a minute or so. I don't have another light as small while as powerful as this P4 Caribbean so my other lights remain cool to the touch after a few minutes of use. I need to test further.

The issue is that the keychain HA bodies are at the engraver. She probably sent out the pocket body so you'd have the light to play with while the keychain bodies get done. :)

I have three (Luxeon) Mediterraneans in various configurations. One of them is configured with a RCR123 lithium-ion and is mounted to the optional magnet line-loc clamp as a work light. It will get warm after awhile but the HA-III head has no problem pulling the heat away.

My EDC SS Med runs 2AA NiMH and will get warm since stainless is not the great heat conductor. My other 2AA HA-III is used by my wife as "her" light with the Kroll tail switch. It is the coolest running light due to the long 2AA HA-III body.

If you run a Kroll tail clickie, remember to overlap the main battery spring with the small gold plated spring coil just under it. That eliminates any flickering from the switch.

Will the clip for the Matterhorn fit the AAA Baltic? If so, what is the best method for attaching it to reduce the odds of scratching up the finish.

I just got a Baltic in the mail without a pocket clip. This is light that could use a clip -
and a LUG BODY!

I can't recall seeing your Carribean but I received mine and I really do like it compared to the Ranier. I like the larger head but just wish that it would run brighter on 3v batteries.

I got 5 Ti Peaks now and I am starting to feel like a mark.
