Most Owned Flashlight

Would it be safe to guess that an Arc LS(x) or AAA are owned by more CPFers than anything else? I tried several searches but didn't turn up this info.

Is it known what the top five or ten lights are? Thanks.

My guess would be the Arc AAA series is the most owned among CPFers. I'd like to know myself what the top 5 or 10 are.. perhaps we can get a large list or poll started here.... a "what lights do you own" thread... and someone can keep tally of the results near the top.

My guess is the Mini-Mag,I think the majority of us have a least one rolling around our sock drawer.

AA Mag, maybe Photon I or II.
I would bet that practically "everybody" has, or had those.
Wonder how many people a Photon "started it all" for?
It started me carrying a flashlight at all times, and it's been downhill ever since...

As a fairly new comer to the CPF, I'm still learning about the site. If a poll has been done before, is it time for an update? Is this a good place to start a poll? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't think so
The Arcs are fine, bit still expensive, not everyone can
or want afford one.
I believe that almost everyone has a Minimag, maybe not used anymore.

I think for a poll to be valid all or most CPF members would have to list all their lights. I think there are quite a few with a hundred lights or more. It might not be practical, but I think some members would enjoy it.

Yes, the MiniM*g AA is, probably, the most owned. I should have mentioned "Flashaholic Grade" light; somehow the M*g never came to mind. I have four Streamlight Jr.s instead.

If we would limit polling to our favorite and owned lights to five or ten, would that work? We could poll for, both, favorite and most owned lights as everybody has a 2AA something but a different, flashaholic, favorite.

As of late February 2002 (the last time I even attempted a count), I had 242 flashlights, lasers, etc.

That includes several Arc-AAAs, several Arc-LSs, several Mags, several Photons, you get the picture.

I would say that the minimag 2AA would be the most common. A lot of them have been modified with Wayne's Luxeon drop-in mods or opalec newbeam 3 LED mods. #2 would probably be the Arc AAA.

Among all the lights that I have, there are 23 AA MiniMags! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Five of which are modified (Opalec and sandwiches). The other 22 AA MiniMags are my collection of MiniMags in different colors! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hahaha.gif

How many use a Mag without ripping it apart and modding it? Then again, I should talk.. my favorite lights are all modded, from the Mag to the Arc LS.

Arc AAA perhaps three..

I'm more interested in what 4 through 8 are.

My guess is that the most owned might probably be related to the "Must-have Lights" thread. Some of those lights are:

Zebralight H501
Nitecore D10
Surefire 6P
etc
