I want to mount my 6P onto/over my stem, does such a mount exist? The flashlight body would have to be adjustable and angled down a bit

thanks

Dealextreme sells el cheapo bikemounts, Fenix-store.com sells the Twofish Bikeblock & lockblocks and also the Fenix bike mount.
I haven't tried the Fenix, but the Dealextreme mount kinda sucks and the Twofish Lockblock is just awesome :)

The DX mounts are crappy, to say the least.
The twofish might work, but they don't offer much in the way of lateral (vertical, in this case) adjustment.

What about the Fenix flashlight holder? Is that large enough to fit over the stem, and hold a 6P?

Other than that, making your own, as the MonkeyMan suggests may be your best option.

The Fenix bike mount (limited to 26mm handlebar diameter) might fit on an older style threaded stem, but won't fit any threadless stem I've ever seen.

I know Hope makes mounts for their lights that replace the faceplate, which is pretty brilliant.

An awesome solution for road bikes might be that Oval makes a stem/faceplate to attach aerobars to, that you could potentially retask to hold flashlights, but the angle might have to be just right (hell, maybe just get straight aerobars and stick flashlights in the ends).

I am thinking about separating out the head of my Fenix and mounting it to my stem somehow, running a cable to under the saddle where I would have the body...

If you are not doing any bouncing around on a mtn bike and just use it for road riding why not go real simple. I found that a small flashlight worked well mounted in a foam block. Here is the reference which is for a bar mount, but you might beable to adapt it to a stem mount. <http://www.krabach.info/bike_light/AA_lights.html> Look down the page for the method. I triple wrap my handlebars with bar tape (really nice) which gives the mount a little more stability. Your solution might be a layer of friction tape around your bar or stem. You must use polyethylene closed cell foam, not styrene or urethane foam.

To be fair, OP did not specify. I had been looking for a nice road bike system for myself and so had those ideas.

Two seatpost reflector brackets bolted together should work. Although I don't think they are very sturdy.

Are you out of room on your bars? Try a Minora Space bar.
