I have ordered 5 Cree XP-G R5 leds for a diving light I am planning to build. I have also ordered a reflector that I think should fit ok, both from dealextreme.

I also need a driver, and I understand Maxflex is a good choice, or are there cheaper alternatives? I do not need a number of modes, I just want light Are any of the DX drivers usefull for 5x XP-G R5?
Do I need any additional optics?
What about battery setup? the leds should draw 5x3.7V = 18,5V. The mexflex driver specification say that input current should be less then output current, can I use 5 li-ioin cells in series for this, or should I use 4? What about arranging batteries in 5 (or 4) serial and 2 parallell to extend Ah, would that be ok?
Plan is to put everything inside a maglite, change o-rings ++ to make it waterproof and use the tube as heatsink. the tube will after all be water cooled. I might go for a separate battery pack, but I guess that will be decided when I see how everything fit together.
I am grateful to any help to my little project here
