Hi guys! I recently purchased a couple of Fenix L1Ts, and I like them very much. Very good output for 1AA, good beam, nice throw and spill.

Well I needed to get a L2T, but money was short, and I couldn't find a L2T body to buy... so necessity is the mother of invention.

I had a longer body made, so that I can use 2AAs and increase the output to 152 lumens. It was made of standard aluminum (not aircraft grade, because I can't find it around here). The checkering is just enough that it doens't slip (MagLite style). I polished the body, and it looks good. It's not perfect because it wasn't made on a CNC, but it's good enough.

Well, I liked it, that's the best I can do.

Igor,

Great work! I wish I had some machining skills... :sigh:

As an alternate option to an extra L2T body, you could buy an L2D body and tail cap. You have to get both the body and tail cap, though, because the L2T and L2D heads are the same size, but the tail caps are different sizes. The L2D tail cap will come with a reverse clicky installed, though, so you will have to swap that out. Or, you could do the same thing with a P2D tube and tail cap for the best light Fenix never made - the P2T!

Thanks, it's quite easy once you know how to operate a lathe. The difficult part was finding and matching the perfect thread... that's tricky.

I didn't want to buy a L2D body, because I don't like the L2D and I was going to read L2D every time I used it. And the reverse clicky switch is terrible. And the price of the body plus shipping plus taxes would make it much more expensive. My last resort was to make one.

If I could ever find CR123 batteries that were cheap... I would love a P2T!!!

My best recommendation on where to find CR123 batteries would be the MarketPlace (CPF MP). Failing that, get some Streamlights on-line ($20 per dozen). I imagine shipping will be a major cost either way, though.

Oi, Igor, checkout batterystation.com, batteryjunction.com for good quality cells at around $1 each.

(Nice choice in guns, BTW. ;) You guys still restricted to .380 caliber in Brazil?)

Oi Mr. Green, Merry Christmas to you!

If I could get a 100 pack for less than 100 bucks shipped I would ask a friend to bring to Brazil for me.

Well, we are still restricted to .380 and .38 SPL for concealed carry and personal defense. But since I'm an Army registered sports shooter, with license to be a gun collector and ammunition recharger, I can basically have anything (love those .357 and .44 mags...). The only restriction is .50 rifles, but .50 AE we can obtain as a collector.

Law enforcement around here uses .40 1911s and 9mm Glocks. Few still uses .38 revolvers. They all use .223 rifles, AR-15 style, and 12 gauge shotguns.

But if someone tries to burglar my home I can't use the restricted calibers to defend myself, just the permitted ones... bummer. That's why we prepare special .380 ammo hahaha.

Cheers!

O brigado, for the pistol info, Igor. It's good to know there are ways around some of those (silly, IMO) restrictions.

Stay safe and best wishes to you too!
