Newly Enlightened
Hi all
I've been searching the net for diy plans on how to build an led torch, just came across this site and think that this is the right place to post some questions i have.
I am not experienced with this, but my dad in law knows a bit about the electrics and can make all of the components for the body of the light. So what i am mostly interrested in is which parts i should use for the best light. how many lumens, how many degrees on the color temp., which reflector and which battery type vs. runtime etc etc.
I am gonne use the torch for nightdives spearfishing, so i am interessted in a torch that can produce a lot of light in a tight beam, maybe with a single led making a litlle flood?.
runtime should be min 3 hours and the battery pack must be rechargeable ofcourse.
hope to hear your input, and maybe some issues that i need to consider in order to not make any stupid newbie mistakes that i will regret later on.
besides i am aiming to keep the costs low, so basicly i'm looking for the best value for money components.
