It was a good day today when the mailman came..
A box with my new e2e-bk and new style z32 bezel. :twothumbs

I was a little apprehensive about the e-series because of the size.
But figured they must be good, there seem to be a lot of people that like them. Now I know why.

The size fits great inhand, even though I have big hands. Just took it outside to check it out, its great....Took out a few other lights including a G2 with stock lamp, and the wifes 6p with the 160 lumen LF lamp to compare it to. I should have gotten one of these a long time ago.
The wife even likes it better than hers.
I was really expecting a yellowish tint but was surprised, its doesn't really have any.
I can see these becoming a real problem, especially with all the aftermarket parts available. I had originally planned on ordering a LF 110 lumen lamp for it, but I think I might just leave it alone.

I always like the color and shape of the MN03 lamp and E series reflector, sometimes even more than the P60.

I hope you enjoy many years of service from you new light.

It took me a while to take the E-series plunge - I stuck with the 6P size, thinking "how much better could it be?". Now I have a small fortune tied up in E series lights and compatible parts. Welcome to the club!

Enjoy your new E2E-BK.:) It sounds nice. I started a thread a few days ago concerning the annodizing finish on the E2E-BK (here) and was hoping for your input. I'm looking to get an E2E in black myself.

Is your black E2E Type III Hard Annodized or Type II annodized? Put another way, does it have the shiny black finish like the 6P, or a more "matte" or dull finish like a E2D defender? And, is "E2E-BK" exactly what your packaging says or is it something different?

Sorry for the questions. Just trying to clarify what finishes are out there.

Thanks.

It has the matte finish, which I really like the looks of. I wish they made the 6p and 9p in the same finish.

As far as the box, it is exactly what the box says.
I read your thread re: the different black finishes. I have never seen a black one with the type II finish.

I went and pulled out the box just to look closer....
The bottom tag says e2e-bk.. On the back of the package where it describes the features of the light it states HA finish. Hope this helps ya

Yeah, that helps. Thank you.

Congrats! I, too, recntly got attacked y the E-series monter...now I have an E1E, E2E, and an L4.... The L$ head spends most of it's time on my e1e body of course (TW4). I like the smaller body, the clip, and ruggedness...I won't even go into the E-series lego's...oh, and the MN01 on my e1e went :poof: after 3 day's (I think I may have dropped it)...I registered it, and put a little note in there, got an e-mail back from SF, "We're sorry to hear about that, we have mailed a new one to the address provided"...Customer Service rocks! The E-series are definitely alittle more comfortable to hold for long periods and can fit into more places on my vest.

Yes, I've also recently fell HARD for the e-series lights. Thanks to a few fellow CPF'ers over at BST in a matter of two weeks I've accumulated 2 e1e's, an e2e and an e2d. Not to mention the various legos that can be created with the above mentioned.

My only dissapointment is that there is not more of an aftermarket (led drop-in's namely) for the e-series. Though I will admit, they have re-kindled my appreciation for incans. They may stay that way.
