Here is a pic of my new red lens cover for my ARC
I was playing around with some RED nichia CS LED's. but the problem was I did not want to carry two flashlights with me So I made this lens cover.
It was Easy. I took a 1/2 inch screw cover from Home Depot and punched a hole using a solitaire flashlight head and a hammer. You can also use the ARC battery tube if you do not care about scratching the anodizing.
I then used the same solitaire head and hammer to punch out a lens from a piece of clear plastic that I cut out from a flashlight package.
I used the solitaire head again to punch a template in a pair of 3-D glasses that I had and used a pair of scissors to cut it out.
I then glued the red cellophane to the clear plastic lens that I made, dropped it into the larger opening of the screw cover and glued it in place.
By the way there was no damage to the solitaire head.
There you Have it!!!
