The Coach
Enlightened
Well, the wait is over. I got my new Reflex from Unique Titanium this morning. Thanks to Russ and Dena for getting it out to me so fast. :twothumbs
It comes in a tube instead of a box or a bag. Cool.
Second pic is the contents of the box. The light was wrapped in bubble wrap and the batteries were installed. Little hint here, make sure you take the tape off the first battery BEFORE you start swearing. I swapped out the batteries for 2 Battery Station CR123's anyway. The CR123's are loose in the tube, but when the cap is screwed down, there is no rattle. I haven't tried a 18650 yet and probably won't.
Third pic is the business end and the 3 Rebel LED's. Not sure how to describe the beam, it's not bright white, but it's not yellow either. The three levels are well spaced.
Fourth pic is a close up of the head. The ambient light sensor is in the middle of the 3 LED's.
Fifth is the switch end. Regular clicky switch and the lanyard hole.
The light is very bright on MAX and dims as you move it closer to an object. The light in the room did not bother it at all. I tried to take some pics compare it to another light, but they just didn't come out. To my eyes, it just dims. I really don't notice it getting dimmer (if you know what I mean).
I like the light. It works like a regular flashlight (put the batteries in, press the switch and BAM, it works) and everything is solid. TnC's bodies are well made (as usual) and the electronics seem to work as advertised. And, it's made in the USA. I think the guys did a nice job.
I give it 2 thumbs up. I'm keeping it. :twothumbs
