SOmething at least of S.F. quality, but not surefire because I want something thinner than 1" in diameter. Like around 3 1/2 inches & .75" or .80" depending on whether an 1xAA or CR123.

AAA only if it's a 2xAAA thin/light enough to use with a pocket clip in a shirt pocket.

Any ideas?

Leon

I have been using a E1e Executive Elite for several years. I really like it.

I like it so well, I bought a second, and keep it locked up, just in case I loose the first one.

Over the years I have washed it at least 3 times with out any leaks or other problems.

I have burned out a few bulbs, but that is just because I use it a LOT.

When ever I go on a trip I carry a SF spares, with an extra bulb.

My E1e and my A2 go everywhere I do.

Hmmmm difficult brief

The only thing that's coming to mind is an Auroralite Hotwire Minimag, or anything similarly based on a rechargeable 14500 power source

I'm not even sure if you could find one anywhere other than used in the CPF sales section...

So 1" is about as thin as I'll find?

Nothing similar to the .7" ez AA or .8" t1a CR123 in an incan?

So it jumps immediately from the solitaire to 1"+ diameters. At that point, I'd just assume it take two cells.

And S.F.'s are out of the question completely now B.T.W. so I guess N.M. re: quality.

E1e has the length of a finger and is very small, except for its head

What about this Surefire E1e + LF EO-E1R + AW RCR or IMR16340?

I dont see nothing better.

Name one smaller than the E1e.

Note I didn't say...

Surefire E1e is small, but not small enough compared to other single cell CR123A Incan lights...
...now did I?

A single cell CR123A light smallter than the E1e is a fenix P1, is this not a true statement?

narrowest single cell incan might be a minimag bipin in a solitaire with a very small resistor and a 10440, but its not a practical approach

Well I must say I really like my E1e. It has been my EDC for several years. As I have stated in other posts I recently put in a LF HO E1A lamp, and now I like it even more.

I walked out to my mail box tonight, about 70/80 yards from the house, and again I was impressed with this new lamp.

If you enjoy using a small Incandescent flashlight, I do not know how you could do any better.
