Just wondering: apart from the Surefire 6PN, are there any more Surefires specially configured for marine operations? I mean the kind truly meant to be used for, say, US Navy SEAL ops underwater, and not just the odd dunking during coastal or river actions. Where could one get them, and any indications on cost? This would inclulde weaponlights (or maybe especially weaponlights). The new X200 would be one. Any others?

Thinking of getting a 6PN if I could, but wondering if there are any more options. Cost might not be an issue if I like the looks of it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Weaponlights are OK with me.

This flashaholism, this virus able to transmit itself from humans to humans via Internet alone. Infectious, isn't it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

if you look at page 42 of the 2004 SF catalouge (u can dl off their website), they say than they can make some of their lights "diveable" but it requires special work. They say not all lights can be made diveable.

anybody know which ones can be made divable? i too am quite interested in this.

ws,

I know that PK and team are constantly working on the lights in terms of their water and pressure resistance. I believe the M3 has been tweaked the most. Ultimatly, it is up to the user to insure that the seals are sound and free from foreign matter; a fact anyone who has flooded any UW gear knows first hand.

I don't know what the X200 has been designed for in terms of pressure but having taken a couple apart as well as taken one down to about 20', I think it will be a winner for at least shallow work and would not be surprised if it can go deeper.

SureFire made the "Military" W Series WeaponLights for the Navy I believe - with the "DEV GRP" switching.

If you look hard enough, there are "N" WeaponLights from the MU Series. Most WeaponLights can be tested and given the "N".
