Hi all. I am looking for a led flashlight that that takes a single RCR123. I currently own a LOD-CE that is my EDC (so runtime isn't that big of a factor). I also purchased some unprotected RCR123s. This light must be able to run on rechargeables and must be able to take the heat. I am intrested in the Ultrafire Cree XR-E WF-602D, the UF C5, Fenix lights, and basicly any other light from DX. I don't want to spend anymore than $40.00.

IME, The driver board in the Ultrafire Cree XR-E WF-602D is brighter than the Ultrafire C1 style or the 3W MXDL Cree P4 . The Ultrafire 602D board pushes about 900mAh on a primary & over 1000mAh on RCR123 while the others push around ~700Mah on a primary & 900mAh on RCR123. The Ultrafire 602D is a little larger than C1 models but it seems to have better machining than the others and it is noticably brighter because of the higher output to the board (probably less runtime).

Plus there are two other variations of the Ultrafire, a HAII w/clip version and a regular black clip version

All these lights are under $21 shipped

I was leaning toward the Ultrafire Cree XR-E WF-602D when I initially posted this, and I guess I still am. I would purchase a PID-CE if they were cheaper. I ordered some 10440 cells for my LOD-CE and I have been using my Rexlight on a regular basis. I just want something small and pocketable that is brighter than the REX and can take the heat.
