well I sort of starting a modding service here in Greece....

So I need your adevice on deterining my prices...I know it is a bit delicate matter so people that wish to reply , you can PM me ...

I need to define the logic or apattern aplicable locally, in the Greece market....

As a starting point I am thinking charging Double the cost of parts...

A Mag C XPG mod cost me about 45 euros (including the flashlight) so a price oi double that at 90 euros seems reasonable....for a greek guy taht would NEED the flashlight ie a police man....

going over that price, I do not know....The finacial situation is hard (gettinmg harder) here and I do not want to scare clients away....

Happy to receive your input.....Kostas

A ideal price is exactly the price that a customers is willing to pay,
within a time frame you are expecting.

So you can simply try what you are thinking & the market will quickly tell you if you need to adjust up or down.

I agree. Price yourself as you think the market can bear.

If you need help determining relative prices, add the cost of the parts to the relative time and expertise it takes to perform the mod. Charge more for things that take longer for you to do, or which require more specialized knowledge and skills. Don't forget to account for the fact that you will periodically damage or destroy parts, and factor that into the cost.

guys thanks for the output....

estimating charges for the mod procedure itself is so dificult....US charges do not apply in my country...

On the other hand the soldering and installation (excluding the LED installation) alone wouldn't cost more than 5 euros in an electronics repair shop....

so the difference to charging for the whole mod must be be related to inginuity, singularity, unavability of other moders and of other similar performing flashlights in our market...in that regard a XPG moded mag is unique and can keep its own with all the other lights procurred locally....that can bring prize up....

on the other a virgin market means that the majority of the prospective clients are not even informed properly and cannot only appreciate a mods unique features (ie the selected LED bin) let alone the effort behind it....

guess there have never been easy answers to it, have they?
