What is the exact model of atv?

Does this atv have a battery or any other electrical accessories (any lights at all)? If not, it seems to me that your biggest problem is likely going to be that you may not have a dc power source. You need a regulator/rectifier to produce constant direct current from your atv.

From your description, the atv uses ac for the ignition. If this is the case, you will need the regulator/rectifier at a minimum. You may need to have your stator rewound to produce more power.
