I friend asked my help in finding a bulb. It goes to a CR123 light that comes from the cheap sources like deal extreme, Brand is "Police" in a Logo like the Walther logo.

The places that sell the light don't seem to sell the bulbs or tell what it is. The bulb in it has no number on it, but is a tiny incandescent. Anyone ever work through this and be able to point me to the right thing?

(Yes, I know, just get a decent light )

You might take a look in the DIY lights section at DX and, if the voltage is for 2X CR123A primaries, you might indeed be so lucky, a Walther replacement lamp fits. But... this will be a wild guess!
Can you post a picture of it, or at least say: "it is XX millimeter in diameter by YYY millimeter in total length" ?

Indeed, what you said might be true: if you would get yourself a light that accepts D26 (P60) drop-ins, you at once have a new world of possible incan replacements... from the cheap DX ones, to the better ones from Wolf Eyes, Lumens Factory and Surefire. These will not always be expensive. The Ultrafire WF-502B is, unlike the WF-501B, well built, has good threads and feels just very solid. You can buy it on DX for less than $15,- including some VERY blueish R2 LED dropin

+1 on posting some close-up pics (adjacent to a milimeter-scale ruler if possible), both of the bulb and of the bulb socket.

Although it's possible that an exact replacement for the original bulb may not be discerned, knowing the bulb geometry / configuration may permit some of the more knowledgeable CPFers around here to suggest a better bulb; either of higher quality, higher brightness, or both.

I've seen these bulbs for sale before on some Chinese import site. I wish I remembered which one, but perusing DX and Kai would be a good place to start.

This thing has a weird, kinda backwards-PR style base, if I recall.

They're all over eBay in 6v and 7.2v (for RCR's). They are sold in packages of 4 or 5 for very little money. I see them all the time just doing a search on "surefire". Look - you'll find them.

"surefire 6x xenon" they are there.
