Being relatively new to this, I need some of the CPF's expert help. Afterdoing a lot of searching on the forum, the question is:

I have an SF KL4 head on a Vital Gear FB2 body. I would really like to run a rechargeable battery but am afraide the 17650 will not give the needed brightness. Using 2 RCR123's is cautioned against here I believe because they are 3.7v. I was hopping to use 3.0v rechargeable 123's but could not decide which ones to use. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

AW LiFePO4 3 Volt Lithium Rechargeable Battery

Nominal Voltage : 3.2V
Capacity : 500mAH
Lowest Discharge Voltage : 2.0V
Standard Charge : CC 250mA CV 3.6V
Cycle Life : > 500 cycles

Some are snug. I have some UltraLast rechargeables that barely fit down the tube of my Golston 7Watt light. Some of the green skin generic cells fit just fine. I run a Kl1 and Kl3 on two 3.7 volt rechargeables with no problems. The current draw is not enough for those to shut down a protected cell. The old KL3 does benefit from the extra voltage as I think the circuit is not as efficient in that old beast. Plus it is a pukey cat pee green and needs updating.
