so i just purchased an STI 5.0 tactical 1911 with a 2011 model polymer frame. Its like a 1911 but the trigger guard is shaped differently and the regular pressure switch that fits 1911's doesnt fit the 2011 frame. It sticks down about half an inch from the trigger guard and since it feels like it has spring steel inside im a little hesitant to try to bend the thing out of fear that it will break.
Has anybody tinkered around with these things and found a way to shape them?
Failing that, is there any other model gun which an X-300 pressure switch is made for that is close in shape to the STI tactical? Maybe i can fit a switch from a different model gun to the STI....
