Anyone here have any sources or suggestions for adapters to charge some 500mah button top N cells in a Maha C9000?

This is what I use http://tncproducts.com/hp_zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=70 You may want to contact TNC and ask them if they have some available.

Do not use the Maha C-9000 to charge NIMH N cells as it may not terminate a the low rates required for that cell. The LaCrosse BC-900 or 700 is a much better choice for this application.

I use the 'Archer N Charging Module', according to: Robot Room: Nickel-Metal Hydride N-Size Rechargeable Battery aka the RadioShack 23-137 (it's at the bottom of the page). But since 23-137 now points to a "Li-ion Battery", prospects look dim (you can see if an E-Mail to RS about Part Number: RSU #11286218 gets you anywhere).

As for charging in the C9000, I don't. I still have a Saft 'Again & Again' DUMB (and SLOW!) NiCD Charger that I use for my 4 Sanyo Cadnica 150mAh NiCD N cells (for my HP-41C calculator). Also, IIRC, these Archer adapters weren't a direct circuit - possibly had a resistor built-in.

What is your source, and price, for 500mAh Button-top NiMH N cells?

OT: 'Black Creep' on LCDs, RPN vs parentheses on calculators

'Black Creep' has begun on the 2 left corners and a small spot on the bottom of the HP-41C's LCD, so it's remaining years are limited (Broke my heart! I was expecting to keep using it FOREVER. :mecry: What causes 'Black Creep'? I also have it MUCH WORSE on my RadioShack 63-854 LCD Thermometer, but that's a MUCH CHEAPER product). But, since the buttons on my HP-65 got 'flakey', the 41C took over as my new favorite. Once you learn Reverse Polish Notation, it's difficult to go back to a 'Plain-Vanilla' calculator. I bought a Casio fx-260 SOLAR for the solar panel and the parentheses, but I 'goof up' on the fx-260 with my RPN-accustomed brain. I also recently bought a Texas Instruments TI-30XS ($6.99 - Target 50% off) again for the solar panel and the parentheses - haven't taken it out of the packaging yet.
