It's been a long long time since I've bought new cells. I've lost track of who's a good manufacturer and who's not. I'm about to pull the trigger on a half dozen of these Nightcore 18650's and a new charger. Though I see there are some 5000mAh on the market.

Primary use will be working after dark on my cabin. Too stinking hot during the day. I'll run these things in turbo mode. One after another. I think five batteries will give me a solid eight hours of work time.

We will see how the Nitecore HC65 handles it.

These are only 4000mAh though. Should I be looking at something else? I don't mind a few bucks up or down.

Many thanks

Don't know about the 18650s (yet), but I've been using a batch of their 16340s and 14500s for about a year, and I've been happy with them so far, so at least that's something. Good capacity vs rating, and good, stable DCIR (internal resistance) so far. When I need more 18650s, I'll most likely try them based on that. 4000 mAh is probably about par or better at this time, although I've not been shopping lately.
