Has SUREFIRE TITAN-A RED been modified in the past?

Hello.Has SUREFIRE TITAN-A RED been modified in the past? The one I have is low when tightened lightly, and high when tightened hard. I bought it online. The dimming is quite sloppy and it's hard to get low light.

I'd say more than likely, the one you purchased was modified by the previous owner.

This is an image of the inside. Is this consistent with TITAN-A? When you close the light, you will always get a high. If you tighten it too weakly, a dark light will come out, but the output will not be stable. I feel like it's just broken rather than a MOD. I can only think that some part is missing.
