Based on the over-exposed pic it looks more like a "ram of light" than a true flood beam. It's a step in the right direction, at any rate. As long as you can abide by the run-time, it should be a decent enough area torch while it lasts. Wouldn't hold my breath on 100lm OTF even at the start of the run, though.

DX has the same GREE-Cree P4 CR123 light. Notice the image. :wave: Not flood.

This light , Mini 3W Cree 1xCR123 is similar and has a OP reflector. Notice a less rigny image than the other one, but it is still not very floody.
