I asked Leatherman Cust. Svc., who replied that the Charge Ti, the new top-line tool with the Ti handle and ATS34 blade, will be shipping to dealers in July.

I have seen them yesterday at the IWA and they are pretty cool. Lots of finetuning went into their new and also already existing models. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif The only thing I am not that sure about if it works like they want it to is the lanyard attachment mechanism of the Ti-series. Eventhough a larger lanyard hole is needed for sure, the locking-releasing mechanism might let go of the tool by accident, at least that's how it looked to me. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

You might want to do a search or look through the threads of the last weeks as there was a pretty long one about the new leathermen. Also the equipped-to-survive website has a nice review. I don't know the website address though. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I like the Charge Ti so much it will replace my 1995 Super Tool. Seems sort of strange to have "new for 2004" come out in July but... such is life.

I own a Wave with tooladapter and both a leather and a nylon sheath and I have to say that the new sheats look like a very cheap piece of crap. I also don't like the new bits because some are in inches (like the hex ones) and that isn't very usefull in Europe. I now use some bits for torx with a little hole inside that will probably not be sold by Leatherman. But this doesn't mean I don't like the tools and maybe in a few years one of the newer models will replace my Wave.

@tylerdurden. Look at the link provided by 03 Lab. It has a pretty good description and some pics to explain.
