Sorry, but I failed to read far enough ahead and missed Flash-Gordon's earlier thread about the new PT Torrent.
Looks like the only real difference is the new Torrent is available as a 3 watt LED version for more $$. Same 8AA, 7.5 Xenon @ 115 lumens for the incan - slightly different body. $33 @ BrightGuy.
