Years ago I sent a 1x123 body to someone here to get bored. Well he (or who ever he had do it) did a very poor job. Looks like they bored through at an angle. Since I was not happy with it, it sat around but now that I do have a lathe I decided to try cleaning up the bore just for the hell of it.

Well now the bore is just over 0.7"Ø. I want it to be around 0.67"Ø. Would there be any issues I should be concerned about if I fitted/epoxied a piece of alumn stock then bore out the diameter I wanted? Wall thickness of the "sleeve" would end up at about 15-18 thousandths.

Only concern I am thinking is the ends for electrical contact.

That ought to work ... you may want to use either an epoxy (like one of the Devcon products) if the fit is loose, or a retaining compound if the sleeve is a very tight fit to the existing bore.

Photos please

Ok, I'll give it a whirl. Devcon is what I would use, I never use anything else. ;) I was also thinking of using electrical conductive epoxy since I have it on hand.

I'll post some pics whether it turns ok good or bad. I considered it scrap anyway but it's a SureFire body so I thought I might as well try to do something with it.
