HOLY !@#$. It looks like Lukes lightsaber. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

95 lumens at 1.5 hours?!?!?!? Yikes!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Are they going to have a 9v version?

I knew it was futile to worry about Surefire leaving the internet and going out of business.

Look, a replacement already!

Definitely looks interesting. If you ever need someone to test one out... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Now that's a TL I would buy. 60 minutes at 95 Lu beats the SF 6V torches. I wonder what the OC module will look like.

In any case...I want one!

This was an email announcement. I imagine dealers will be getting them in stock soon. At this point, it doesn't appear that they're selling them factory direct - only through dealers.

Guys, if there's one thing we've learned from flashlight after flashlight, it's that we can't believe anyone's specs until we try them out ourselves, and in particular we can't believe specs that are suspiciously higher than Surefires. Not that Surefire can't be beat, but 50% more light *and* 50% more runtime? I'll believe 95 lumens for 90 minutes when I see it. That said, if it's close to that, and well-made, sign me up!

What do you think they mean by pepper spray dispensing module? Something you attach to the light that points in the same direction as the light itself, perhaps?

Joe

You know, 90 minutes, 95 lumens, off of 6V sounds like a regulated light to me. Time to get in touch with Tactical Warehouse...

I'm interested, too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif Waterproof !

I'm wondering if this is a typo. I'll bet they mean the body is 1" in diameter...for the 1" rings.
A 1" head would be the diameter of an SF L4 head.

I've been wanting a tiger and I'll bet this is the one I've been waiting for.

Yeah, I better not get too excited till I see what Roy runs this thing out at.

That extra half hour is probably what they call "still usable illumination" perhaps?

TW will be stocking this new light - We should have them in stock and on our website very soon!

Dan

Where do they say 95 lumens for 90 minutes?

• Light Output: 95 lumens for 6 volt

• Light provides one hour of bright illumination on each set of batteries

Electrical Specifications
• Battery Life: 1.5 hours (depending upon temperature)

Probable translation: Performance typical of 2x123 xenon lights.

If it can beat the PM6 I'll buy it: (Chart by Brock)

It would have to be a typo. If you look at the picture and observe the relative proportions of head and body, you can see that if the head diameter was 1" the body diameter would be too small to accommodate a 123.

I doubt that the head diameter is less than 1 1/4", and 1 3/8" wouldn't surprise me.

I realized I'd mis-read the specs a few minutes after I wrote my resonse. I saw the "light output 95 lumens" and "battery life 1.5 hours", so I thought the claim was: 95 lumens for 1.5 hours. The second statement above corrects that to: 95 lumens for 1 hour, obviously dimming but still-useable for 30 more minutes.

Still, is this considered "typical" performance for 2x123 lights? Surefire is getting 65 lumens for an hour, is everyone else getting 50% more lumens with the same runtime? I understand the textured reflector might be stealing away some lumens from the SF, but sheesh.

The photograph of the Operator is roughly one half life size.

The head will be roughly one and one half inches in diameter.

I think one of those wants an E-can and Luxeon III. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
