Newbe need advice on rechargables for surefire 6p

Hi this is my first post.. just need some advice on my surefire 6p set up.. i am thinking of going with rechargeable batteries since it is costing me a fortune on batteries. my set up is a surefire 6p with a lighthound cree r5 droppin (3v-18v) version. i am currently running two primary cr123. it is very bright. i am thinking of going to a 17670 single cell or two rcr123s. what is my best option in terms of brightness and run time. does any one have pics of the beam using 17670 or rcr123s. 18650 is just not an option for me. i dont want to get my 6p bored out..
