Thanks to all the help on this site, I just ordered a Fenix TK11, along with 2 18650 batteries, and a WS-139 charger. Most money I have spent on a flashlight in my life. One question. Does this charger stop chargeing when the batteries are fully charged? And are these 18650's really that muh better than the 123 batteries?
Thanks again!!!!
Chris

Newer 139 chargers seem to do better than older ones is what some of us have come to conclude. It should stop, but I wouldn't risk my house on it. Additionally AW Cells have good protection circuitry. Just be around and aware when charging. Get a multimeter, even a cheap one to test things for yourself.

18650s offer more energy density than anything else that size in a rechargeable package. Though there are drawbacks as well my personal opinion is that their positives greatly outweigh reasons to continue using CR123 primary cells for most things.

As for spending more on a light than you ever have before... well you've just started buddy. Hide the wallet right now, it only gets worse.

Yep, i know the feeling . . . .

Everytime i buy a new flashlight now,
it's the MOST i've ever spent on a light.

:sigh:

My theory:

You tend to build up a tolerance.

Especially (!) when you hang out in forums like CPF.

I used ta' think:

"Wow, 50 Bucks is a LOT of money for a Flashlight !"

But now i say to myself:

"Hey, that flashlight's only 50 Bucks !"
