Next LE advice: which one?

I'm set to do an Aleph-2 head powered by Pila150s or 2x123.
I'm looking at 500 - 600ma current.

Question : Is it better to use Downboy in this case, assuming that LuxIII vf is "J"? Wiz2 sounds nice also, but I still have no experience with it. Which circuit is more efficient? Based on the FAQs, Wiz2 can't do 2-stage.

I already have an NG500, so the next one won't be running in 1x123 configuration.

Use a DB500 with a J bin and you will have a good package that is real friendly to the lower second stage and you will have a great range of brightness to choose from on the second stage as the converter will not be fighting you!

The Wiz *can* do two-stage... just not so well, and your options are limited. There are really no limits to the two-stage of the DB. So basically, I'm with Don on this one. The DB is your friend.
