Flashlight Enthusiast
The + + refers to the latest AW batteries, a UCL lens and LF lamp. The light itself was 25 shipped (!) and came with a clicky switch. A little lube had the bezel and tail smooth as can be; I'm impressed with the solid build quality. I wasn't expecting much at this price, but I think it's a very good value. The comments about the durability of the stock bulb made me get a LF replacement; I use the stock as the back up. It's performance and quality are apparent to the eye compared to stock. It was around 20 shipped.
This light has a meaty beam and has very good throw, with power being around 22 watts. The lumen output is impressive for a 9V lamp, more than my WE 13V setup using a WE 12V lamp. Now that evening temps in my neck of the woods are falling under 70 degrees, I find that I can do 30 minute continuous runs (dog walks) without heat becoming a problem. This is due to the heavy build and size of the head/heat fins. When temps were in the high 70s +, then I felt that even though the light wasn't too hot to hold, the batts were heating up pretty good. Good autumn handwarmer...
Just thought I'd share this happy incan moment about a nice setup...
