Purchase some Plexiglas at your local hardware store. Select the thickness and size according to your design. Thinner is easier to bend. Thicker looks better and is stronger. (You pick)
Do your design on paper first, with all measurements.
Cut with bandsaw, or fine-toothed hacksaw.
Drill with ordinary high speed steel bits, but don't run them really fast as they could melt the plastic vs. cutting it.
Bend by holding against immovable object (e.g. table or in large vise) then apply heat from hot air gun or hairdryer at the area that you want to bend, and form your bend by gentle effort.
Glue the stuff using cyanoacrylate a.k.a. crazy glue.
Ta-Da! Done.
