Which batteries will fit a Mag 2C and power a SCC P7? 3/4 Sub C or 4/5 Sub C?

What brand should I get and where? The only 4/5 Sub C NiMH I could find are with tabs. Do tabs make a difference? Also, any suggestions on a charger? Links would be great on both.

Give these guys a try .....seems they will be stocking some Elite brand 2200mah 4/5 sub C cells anytime now.
As far as tabs goes.... Tabs are supplied on flat top batteries (ie ones without a nipple on the + ive end). This just makes it easier to solder them into packs. Don't know whether the Elite's will be flat tops or regular.
Almost any good multi-bay intelligent charger should be able to charge your cells. Try doing a search under 'Ansmann Energy 8' for starters.

NO ......... Out of the box.
YES ....... If you use spacers to make up for the shortfall in length.

You shoudl be able to fit three SubCs, rather than 4/5 subC with some modding:
1) If you have access to machining, bore out the tailcap
OR
2.a) Buy a Fivemega stainless steel tailcap. (as a bonus, allows easier tailstanding)
2.b) Use a dremel tool to remove as much material from the bottom of the switch assembly as possible.
2.c) If necessary, use the dremel to remove material from the TOP of the switch assembly as well, so that the whole assembly sits higher up when pressed against the retainer ring.
By doing this, you will double your runtime compared to the 4/5 subC.
