I have 2 questions
1. why is the nitecore ex10 cheaper than the defender infinity when it looks like it has more features and a better design? I hope they didnt change the quality of the nitecore products.
2. This is probably a dumb question but why do different flashlights with the same emitter have different lumen ratings? I understand that the reflector or the electronics might change the brightness but it seems like there is a large margin between different lights. For example my p3d q5 is rated at 215 lumens while the nitecore is only 130. Can someone with a NDI tell me how bright it is compared to the p3d? Thank you.

As mentioned by Tony, there's several looooong threads about the Ex10 and D10. Also, you've posted the same thread 3 times. I'll indulge you anyway and try to answer your questions

(1) I'm taking a guess here, but it could be be because 4-7 is trying to get his name out there as a light designer/collaborator.

(2) Different lights have different lumens rating even with the same emitter because (a) some companies rate them out the front, others rate them from the emitter, (b) it depends on how much current the driver is pushing out to the led.

Hope that answers your questions.
