Nitecore i8 Charger?

Anyone else have one of these? I've been using their i4Digital units for a while and wanted one to do 8 AA cells at once for my flash unit external pack.

I notice a regular ticking noise while it's in use which I think is the circuit switching internally. None of the reviews seem to mention this noise.

Anyone have anything good or bad to say about this charger.

I have one and in fact I returned my first one for that exact reason. I got the second one and it did the same thing. I have used it for I am guessing around 2 years and it's been good so far so I figure that's just what it does.

I appreciate your response. I'd read some Amazon questions that had mentioned it, but saw no response that said it was normal.
