I just purchased an Eagle Tac T20C2 Mark II for LE use, I love the light so far but would like to get some 18650 batteries and charger to use instead of the cr123 batteries. Since I know nothing about 18650 batteries or chargers, I would like some input from the experts. Thanks.

Ps- I have done some research but with all the info out there it gets alittle confusing.

If you're new to Li-Ion chemistry cells, I strongly recommend you read through the pertinent threads located at the top of this Forum, regarding their safe usage and handling, ie. here and here. You'll be doing yourself a big favor and at the same time, help the rest of us that use these cells, in the long run by helping to avoid any unfortunate accidents.

Also, you really shouldn't consider using Li-Ion cells unless you have a DMM, or similar device for measuring the voltage of your cells. This is pretty much a requirement for using Li-Ion cells, of any chemistry.

Good luck and have fun!

Dave

Would it be safe to use an unprotected 18650 in either the T20C2 or the more regulated T100C2 MKII?

The OP mentioned the T20C2 MKII, I dont see this model on the Eagletac website, it's either the T20C2 or the T100C2 MKII???
