I'm a super noob and don't even know what terms to search for in order to find what I'm looking for. I didn't know were to post it so please Mods move this if needed, I apologize in advance.

I'd like to find some links and info for the following:

Info on electronics measuring devices and instruction on taking measurements. What tools do I need to measure battery voltage, current used by a flashlight, and other important measurements? How do I take those measurements. Where is the best place to buy such items?


Info on Light output measurement. Again How? Where to buy? What to buy? Also good info for Lumen vs Lux....


Info on soldering. Again How? Where to buy? What to buy?

Other "tools of the trade" such as tiny strap wrenches and what not. Where to buy? What to buy?

Anyhow, any links, info, terms to search for; or shoot, even which sub forum to look in would be much appreciated.
