North West Flashoholic's Get Together-WA OR ID MT

Hi Guys,
Alright, its that time of year and I want to start planning our Northwest Get Together. Last year we all met at Magnason park and had a blast!

I would like to find a new place this year where we can stay later so please give us your suggestions.
I'm really busy this month but have some free time starting in mid May.

Been thinking the same thing. We drive from Vancouver Washington, across the Columbia river from Portland Oregon, and that makes for a loooong night. I am up for a campground or an area with a motel.
I liked the park, however I felt it was too public and in the open with the lasers,and HID's, which were awesome but may attract unwanted attention from police, or those not in the know...
Can we do a swap meet, buy sell trade while we are there? As in bring what ya got.
Just FYI, in my area of Mt. St. Helens, in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest is this fun place for testing flashlights http://lewisriver.com/apecave.html

We did hold one last year at a party barn near Renton (just south east from Seattle) I could see if the venue is available again if there is an interest.

For those that came they can vouch for the little ambient light

I am interested in attending if something is set up at the Renton location. I hear it is extremely dark and the last gathering was great.

Hmmm, very interesting, I missed that one but from the sounds of it this could be the perfect place. I just looked at my calendar and my wedding anniversary is on the 15th so the 22nd would be ideal for me.

I read that the food was reeeealy good last time, please elaborate.

B/S/T swap meet kind of thing would be good for everyone. I could offer some ridiculously low prices on new items for attendees

Now we're talking, I'm starting to get excited.

The party barn is next door to me (makes it convenient) I brought over a grill and we cooked hot dogs and hamburgers. People brought potato salads and stuff. Ended up with a pretty decent potluck.

There is a refrigerator, sink, restroom, etc. in the barn. The barn also has a cement floor so it is nice that way. There is plenty of parking. The barn is about 1000 feet off the road and there is only one street light on the road (can't be seen from where the barn is). There are plenty of tables and chairs to setup.

There is an old baseball diamond behind the barn and the area is surrounded by trees.

I will contact my neighbor and check on their schedule.

Sounds great to me. Hopefully far enough out that people can set aside the day.

I will get a few pictures of the place so that everyone can get an idea of the venue. It is a great location to show off flashlights since it can be nice and dark so far off the road.
