Nuwai Luxeon V and III, 3 level output Review

Very cool. I've been looking at the LuxV model wondering if its output would justify its pricetag, and it seems that it does, and more.

the 352L have more output than all the other lux-V and 2-cell incandescent you have reviewed!!!!!!!!!!! impressive /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drool.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/faint.gif

I have the Lux III and have found it very useful...and it costs considerably less than the 5 watt. Interesting that on the high level, the LIII outthrows the five watt...mine outthrows my T3.

I know beamshots can be deceiving, but on the centered beamshots, it sure looks like the III light has a radically brighter hotspot than the V light. Is that just an unexpected artifact or were they possibly switched? I know the purpose of those beamshots is to show the type of beam pattern.

Anyway, thanks again for your work. You are a great resource to us crazy flashlight junkies!

Off, high, medium, low on mine.

The Lux III has a tighter and brighter hotspot. The Luxeon V has a wider hotspot with a slightly dimmer center than the rest of the spot and a lot more light output overall.

The size of the Luxeon V element results in the larger, "doughnut" shaped hotspot. This is common among Luxeon V lights including the L2 and L4.

I see... I knew that there had to be something funky going on. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
