Enlightened
So back in 2005/2006 I started out with a stock nuwai q3, and slowly upgraded the LED, driver board (fluPIC), reflector, bought Li-ion batteries and added glow paint and glow o-rings.
I don't often actually use this light because of the noticeable flickering/shuttering because the PWM on the fluPIC driver isn't fast enough. The light gives me a headache unless I run it at full power all the time.
Hoping to find a new driver board that will fit in the nuwai q3 relatively easily and support multiple brightness levels easily. I don't really think I need anything brighter, so if I don't have to upgrade the well binned (well for 2006) 3w Luxeon, I'd be happy... and if I do have to upgrade - so be it.
