Help Support CPF:

Looking great :)
Thanks guys. Everyone on CPF has been super helpful and supportive since I started this whole thing. In an effort to try and repay the community, I'm going to do some kind of give away in the next few weeks. Just here on CPF. So keep your eyes open.

That would be awesome, I look forward to it.

I think that you are exactly the kind of builder that this community is all about, and I congratulate you on your success so far.

Keep making awesome flashlights, and we'll keep buying 'em ... :D

The price for SC it just little bit much for me , holly crap 250 per inch ?

i remember seeing someone (jeff hanko or enrique m. maybe?) said they did a trial run with some super conductor bar stock, but the materials that showed through didn't make it worth their while. i think they said it ended up just looking like mokume gane.

Here is one metal to think about . Super conductor . Has it been tried at all?

It depends whether "superconductor" is being bought for looks or for function (in terms of function, it offers more efficiency due to almost no electrical resistance)

If "superconductor" really looks like mokume gane, it wouldn't exactly be a negative in my book. Mokume gane is a spectacularly beautiful alloy.

Looking good Jeff, I take it that cutting the recesses for the tailswitch and boot will one of the next orders of business?
That's right. The work is mostly done, I'm just waiting on some new cutters to arrive. I did a few trials today I'm happy with.

I'll probably start working on the heads until the new tools show up. I'm being told they'll arrive on Friday.
