I'm having trouble with my old-style GL3. I'm trying to use the newer 200 lumen 9v Pila lamp and the LF EO-9 w/Pila 300P's, but it's not working. I took off the outer spring of the LA's so it fits the GL3 (basically a WE Raider). I checked to make sure the 300P's were fully charged, tried every battery polarity combination possible- no light. I end up with nothing more than a pricey (albeit attractive) paperweight.
I tried taking off the bezel and manually pushed the LA down with my fingers. As the LA became fully seated I gave it a wiggle- it worked! I tried the same thing with the outer spring on the LA. I pushed it down a little bit, and it lit up again!
I am 100% convinced this is a contact issue, but what's missing to complete the circuit? I conclude the copper-colored metal on the bottom of the LA's are not initiating contact with the copper tubing in the flashlight body. I noticed the LF EO-9 is noticeably skimpy on the copper material, but the Pila 200 lumen 9V is well covered (much like the old Pila LA). For all I know I could be wrong, but that's my best guess.:sigh:
An interesting note- these HOLA's work fine with CR123's, no problem.
Any suggestions?

PS- Thanks GreenLED for helping me out, I appreciate it very much!
