Oracle 35W coating - how does it look like?

Hi All (mainly Oracle owners :-),

I'm about to buy Oracle 35W light and I was wondering how's the anodizing look like? Automotivelightstore advertises this light as blackpowder coat and I'm not pretty sure what does it mean. There was not clear conclusion in the post I've read about that.
To all of you who got black anodizing version - do you experience some signs of wearing off the coat? Especially on the edges of the body. I really do prefer black version of that light, but I will not stand any white marks on the edges after some use and though I really do not like silver version (however I appreciate the rarity of the silver version itself) I would rather go for it rather then experience all those scratches and marks on the edges of the light.

By "black powder coat" I think they were describing its appearance. Tactical HID and Oracle use the same body, so I'm going to say it's HA.

If you plan on using the light hard get the silver. If you like the black, the HA finished should hold up pretty well if you take reasonable care of it. All of my black HA Chinese lights still look great.

Cool, thanks! I'm not planning any "hard" use for that light (it's HID after all, I wont take the risk), so black version should be ok with me. By the way - did you experience any communication's problems with the automotive hid store? I have asked those guys a question two days ago and I'm still waiting for the responce:sssh:. It's kind of strange since I declared my will of buying that light and just waited for the final answer (you know, customer care, bla, bla).
I don't know, probably it's just impatient me... :party:(let's hope so).

Have you talked to the guys at Tactical HID yet? They might offer better customer support.

Well, no, I haven't. Since I know that they offer only 3 months guarantee :crackup:I gave up the idea of buying Tactical HID and decided to go for Oracle. I've sent another mail to Justin from automotivehid and this time got my responce. They offer really great price for that light. Honestly, I don't think anyone would be able to get better deal for the light like that.
