I wanted to share this mod not necessarily for the running gear, but more for the beautiful host.
ZeissOEM2 entrusted me with building this up, and I did ever so carefully. The pristine FM3V is stunning.
The various components of the mod work well together. The light runs on (6) 18650 in two back-to-back 3s 18650 holders, 22.2V, driving DSWOI P7s. That is about max voltage the Shark Buck 3A can handle, and the 2A draw on the cells is very comfortable. The light dims to very low, < 10 lumens, and hi is a regulated 2.9A. It will hold regulation until the cells are spent. The light will run over 1hr on hi, and 2 hrs at mid-pot (1 A draw, 1.5A regulated).
