whatever happened to osram led's? we dont see them in custom builds much any more. i'd like to build one of my 10 stock maglites i have into one. can anyone point me in the right direction. better yet, do we know of any 9 die led's, he he. whats the vf of the 6 die osram? do we have any build threads?

Well due to the new MC-E and P7s being on the scene with better efficiency and smaller footprint (helping in ease of focus ability) Osram popularity in the multi-die area is low.

However Osram does make the dragon series of LEDs which is picking up in popularity because they are pushing the envelope of efficiency in the Cree's R2 region but with a more traditional lambertain beam profile as well as a smaller footprint than a Cree XR-E.

Check out CPFMP to sellers of these LEDs as it is likely the only place you can get Osram LEDs in low volume. Osram doesn't like to do low volume sales like Cree, SSC or LumiLEDs does.
