Hello, i was wondering why theres never any talk about this led, only place ive seen it talked about is from arcmania sales thread of a sf-III custom light ive ordered.
Its kinda strange to me why theres no info or talk about this led anywhere?
Is it rare? hard to get? too expensive? can someone explain?
would be nice to read some info about it

Hi - Osram makes nice LEDs - the question really becomes - what drives someone to use on LED vs another, especially in a hobby forum. The Osram Ostar has been used a few times in some projects.

Osram does a lot of automotive business and in general their LEDs are quite good. Similar to Lumileds, they were very strong in red and red / orange AlInGaP technology, then migrated to GaN blue / green / white as well.

Everything starts with someone using an interesting LED and trying it out, either as a mod or new build. They aren't that expensive - why not try some out and show us something. It is a fun hobby.
