Other batteries to use in olight seeker pro le

Hello,

i have an olight seeker pro le with a 26650 battery. Is it possible to use another brand battery 26650. When yes please advise?. Reason more and more shops stopped selling the olight battery 26650.

It is possible to use, but not charge a standard 26650.

I agree with LED Monkey.The proprietary batteries are a turn off for me. There's a couple of Olights that I would buy were it not for those proprietary batteries. I have a couple of older Olights using other batteries. They make a nice flashlight. davemp

Keeppower 26650, Orbtronic 26650. Keeppower and Orbtronic make at least 2 26650's each that will work in the Seeker Pro Le. You cannot charge them in the light but Keeppower and Orbtronic offer higher capacity ratings. Keeppower are much easier to find outside the States. In the States Orbtronic ships out of Florida and quickly as well.

Heard some good compliments and reviews about Orbtronic batteries as well. Should be a great choice for back up battery.

Google is yielding many places to buy the Olight 26650, no mention of it being discontinued that I could find.

The propriety Olight 26650 is 4500mah. That is actually pretty good. Orbtronic has a 5200mah 26650 for sale. With the Orbtronic you of course could not charge in the light itself. Do you have a seperate charger than can fit 26650? Orbtronic also has a 5500mah 26650 30amp cell. Out of the two I would get the 5200mah cell. The 5500mah has a 30 amp rating. The Olight Pro Le doesnt need 30 amps. The 5500mah cell is also a high drain cell. You would find youself charging it a bit to much. The 5200mah cell would be my choice for replacing the propriety 4500mah Olight cell. Good luck.
