although dont buy any, anyone want a couple ill send you some for shipping cost ($1?)

Notice, its a 50 pack! who the heck needs 50?!

Fitting it onto the Fenix red filter was tricky. POpping out the red filter is easy, then put it in from the top, it should stick abit. Push too hard, it will fall thru, you have to get it just right. Once youre satisfied, epoxy it in place, neatly of course, you dont want excess epoxy blocking the light.

Looks cool bit I don't know if I like the OP reflector focused on the wall...
Please don't keep us waiting any longer tell us more!
How does it throw?

Great mod!

it throws pretty well! no lux meter, ill see what i can do about comparing it tomorrow. I need to sleep for now..its 2am here! :ohgeez:

yeah, the OP reflector is kinda wierd.. cant have everything i guess..

feel free to ask questions...:)

I think you would be better off removing the reflector, my P3D Rebel100 looked like this...

Like Maroon said, they work best without reflectors.

So this just fits into the Fenix filter and not into the head right? Did you epoxy it from the inside, outside, or both?

Thanks Crenshaw.

Hey thats kind of neat. do you think the result would be similar with my RC-C3?... tiny little thrower.

I kind of like it with the OP reflector, the reflector captures the side emitted lumens that would normally go to waste.

I think the result would be much greater with far more throw than the RC-C3, even more so in front of a Rebel. Obviously a lot of the utilitarian purpose gets tossed out the window, but in this case it's just a slip over which is a great idea. You can have your toy and use it for real too...:)

I did the same thing with a Nuwaii Q3. I was not impressed with the weird beam pattern. Turning the aspheric upside down however (convex side toward emitter) made for a real nice flood with little discernible hotspot.

I'd like three. Please let me know how to pay. Paypal?
Thanks!

I think a good way to clean up the beam a bit would be to rough up the Cree dome to turn it into a diffuser. Since it is at the source, it won't affect focus any and will affect throw by just a small amount - far less than a diffuser film under the aspheric (flat side) would.

This is my Wolf-Eyes Storm R2 WC...

This pic was taken about a month or two ago... someone dubbed it "Eye of the Storm!!"
