I have been away from the flashlight scene for some time, although i do own an L2P and love it, problem is that i cant edc it, too long. But the runtime is phenomenal on Li batts.

currently EDCing an ARC-LS Premium w/3W T-bin mod + 17mm reflector (thx Litfuse).

Hope this luxeon rebel + current regulation doesnt disappoint...heh. Not too worried.

anyone know of good red filters for these?

I like my L2D-CE and the Rebel 100 version should behaves similarly, but the low mode should be lower that and would be nice. I think the Rebel 100 version will have higher "low" due to more efficient emitter.

Fenix P2D is an excellent EDC light, compact but powerful. And it works well on rechargeables.

Good call, I've asked them to add the filter to the order along with a diffuser tip before it ships on Monday.

personally i've always preferred red LEDs over red filters, considering the vastly smaller power requirements, but i suppose carying 2 flashlights isnt really worth it. I havent seen too many white LED lights that have a backup array of 5mm red LEDs around the inside of the bezel perimeter, or peaking out of holes cut into the reflector.

I hope my GF doesnt get any ideas with that diffuser tip . With so much power, i'll be able to see her uterus glowing from inside. Perhaps i'll start my amature gynecology practice. LOL.
