PD-S led Upgrade...

There is but changing from a SSC P4 to anything better would require a different heatsink and reflector and in some cases (like Cree) would also require a longer head to fit the proper reflector.

This is what I like to avoid :candle:

You might get a slightly better bin but there is nothing that is so good it is worth the trouble to swap yet. What don't you like about the SSC P4?

I put a U2SWOH in my Ti PD-S "mizer".

It is noticably brighter now. In fact it is "almost" as bright as my HDS Utimate 60 that I put a USWOH in 1.5 years ago.

I almost wonder if it's really a mizer, but it does have a faint "m" written in marker, on the CB. I guess it could have been "bumped" by one of the previous owners, but if it was, I can't tell by looking.

The new LED has a colder tint though, so I am going to put a U2SVOH in it, when I get one next week.

I ordered enough to replace the U bin in my HDS, so I expect the mizer to seem dim in comparison again, after I swap it out.

I put K2 in my Ti PD, look like original heat sink was made for it, LED drop right in.
K2 will give you large and brighter hot spot, and nice tint.
I love mine. :D
Cheers.

Don't get me wrong. I do like the original led but I longed for higher high thats all.
You may want to look into changing the high sense resistor to push more current through. I think the stock setup is around 530mA.
