I'm new to the forum, and this is my first post, so "hello" to all.
I was curious to see if anyone out there has a Pelican 8060 LED and has had issues with the on/off switch. I recently purchased one, and have had nothing but problems with the switch. I can turn it on, and the switch gets stuck in the on position.
I ended up sending it out for warranty service this morning.

I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem. Thanks.

I've got the 7060 and 8060 and never had a problem with either switch, and they've both been used pretty hard. Unfortunately, you might've ended up with a faulty switch. It sucks, but it does happen.

Did you send it back to Pelican? Personally, I've never had to send mine back, but I've known a few that have and they all praised Pelican's customer service.

I like the 7060 better, but I think the utility of the 8060 being able to use regular C cell batteries in a pinch makes it a keeper for the gear bag.

Oh, and :welcome:

I bought a 8060 over a year ago and I have not had any problems with the switch or any other aspect of ther light. I specifically bought this light for the output and its build quality which as with all Pelican products is first class. However, as with any product it cannot be guaranteed to never develop a fault (even so soon). The Pelican guarantee will ensure you don't have any problems getting it repaired. :)
